Welcome to Tulsa PC Power

We are discontinuing our operations, see statement below:

PC Power was founded by Tulsa Police Officer Glenn DeWeese, who began building computers for needy children as a Christmas project in 2003. Many in the ommunity, would donate their used computer equipment to this project. Our volunteers would clean, refurbish and update the computers, making them usable again for so many people, and prevent the electronics from ending up in a landfill.

Since 2003, we have provided approximately 1854 computers to 3931 northeast Oklahoma school-aged children, as well as to numerous disabled adults.

As the years have gone by, we have found that many of the children, do not have the same needs. Many school districts in the area, provide individual computers to the kids, as do many private organizations.

Due to these factors, we have made the tough decision to discontinue our operations. Glenn's idea allowed us to bridge the informational and technological gap for 17 years. The gap does not exist in the same way it once did.

We would like to thank all of our volunteers from throughout the years. Without your hard work and various resources, our organization could not have existed. We would especially like to thank Natural Evolution, who provided us work space and technical support.

Also, special thanks to the Bartlesville Public Schools I.T. group, who provided so much valuable technical assistance as well as considerable hardware that made this possible. We most certainly must thank the various Police, Sheriffs and Tribal Departments that partnered with us. Those officers were the Santa to so many kids each year through our North Pole Project. It has been our honor to continue Glenn's dream. We hope that many lives have been affected in positive ways.
